‘Keep your scissors clean…’

It might be obvious but cutting with gunky scissors is a pain. It also makes it difficult to cut out shapes in sneakskin accurately. It’s going to happen, there’s no avoiding it. When you cut sneakskin small traces of glue will get left on your scissors. It’s fine for customising a couple of shoes, but the more you do, the more gunk’s going to build up. But it’s so easy to clean your scissors, we wonder whether you really need pictures at all for this! Well, here they are anyway.
‘Finishing sneakskin under trim edges…’

For those perfectionists out there that want their customs to look as close to factory-made as humanly possible, here’s a little tip. Before you stick sneakskin Pattern Sheet next to an edge of a *trim piece on your shoe, cut the piece a bit bigger than you need and hide the excess under the trim edge. This will give you a clean, seamless join that can only have been done in the factory, right?! Here’s how to do it…
